The agritourism Il Brugnolo is surrounded by the nature of the Emilian countryside and it’s located in the core of Emilia (between Modena and Reggio Emilia)

Il Brugnolo, an agritourism in Reggio Emilia soaked in the unspoilt nature, is located in Scandiano, a delightful town were some important characters of Italian history were born, including Matteo Maria Boiardo, the writer of the poem Orlando Innamorato.

Based in the center of Emilia, halfway between Modena and Reggio Emilia, Il Brugnolo represents the best place for those seeking peace without sacrificing cultural visits to the most beautiful art cities of the entire region. . In fact, starting from our building, it is possible to reach shortly the lovely cities ofReggio Emilia, just over 10 km away, where you can admire wonderful monuments, Modena, with its Duomo, Ghirlandina and Piazza Grande, which have been declared World Heritage by Unesco and Parma, with the suggestive Battistero.

In addition, from our agritourism it is possible to discover the appealing lands of Matilde di Canossa, with parish churches and castles, up to the cities of Mantua e Bologna.

There are regular concerts, festivals, and parties around the agritourism, all having a particular historical and cultural background. The guests can also soak into the paradisiacal nature of the Parco del Gigante in the Reggiano Appennines or follow interesting hiking trails on the S Sentiero Spallanzani trail or Matildico.

For the thermal baths’ lovers, close to our agritourism there are the Terme di Salvarola, also known as the Divine waters of Emilia Romagna. Instead, for the sport lovers, it is possible to visit Maranello and admire the magnificent Ferrari cars. Furthermore, you can find indoor and outdoor swimming pools, tennis courts, athletic center, riding stables and golf courses nearby.

Always in the vicinity it is possible to experience balloon flights and parachute jumps.

Equidistant from the Fairs of Modena and Reggio Emilia, the structure is also only 5 minutes from the Scandiano hospital and 15 minutes away from the excellent Sassuolo and Reggio Emilia hospitals.

A little more than 15 km from our agritourism is the railway station Reggio Emilia AV Mediopadana, one of the main high-speed train stations in the North of Italy, the only intermediate passenger stopover on the high-speed Milan-Bologna line. It is one of the most admired architectural works in Europe, designed by the Spanish architect Santiago Calatrava.

Brugnolo is a pet friendly farmhouse where dogs and cats are welcome. We have some apartments that can accommodate your dogs (alternatively, you can leave them in free outdoor insulated boxes) and vast green areas, our vineyards, where your four-legged friends can run freely without the danger of cars.

We only ask you, in order to best satisfy you, to indicate at the time of booking if you are traveling with dogs in tow.

We decided to avoid having a restaurant to respect the stillness of our guests, yet there are several restaurants and trattorias close to Il Brugnolo which offer the best of typical cuisine for those who want to taste the Reggio Emilia delicious cooking.

We are able to accommodate large groups (there are 7 housing units at your disposal which can host from 2 to 4 people each) and ensure them the maximum privacy and the best comfort. In fact, you can choose independent solutions, apartments equipped with kitchen for the families and in the evening, you can have dinner all together in our common room. In addition, when the weather is good, you can dine in the wonderful outdoor park, under the gazebo, using our barbecues. Here, at the Brugnolo, you can book the whole structure consisting of two building only divided by the courtyard or you can reserve the one and only ancient farmhouse composed of three two-room apartments or alternatively the four studios located in the new building.    

The property can also accommodate cyclists and motorcyclists, to whom are reserved some facilities like closed parking spots, workshop for potential repairs and a space to wash bikes and motorcycles.

Our advice is to use your own car to get here: Il Brugnolo is located in the open countryside and using the public transport can be tricky from here.
